Pocket tens... Ten, jack, queen on the flop. I bet, he calls. Eight, no flush, but four to a straight. I bet he raises... I knew it... Right there I knew it. And I even thought back to last year when a guy flopped trip jacks to my flopped straight... I knew I was beat then and called. River was a three, I check, he bets $5k and I paid him off because I had to see it and I am a donkey.
I could have saved eight thousand if I folded to the raise on the river, but i couldn't get off my trips.
This is not good... Not at all how things were supposed to go... We are not even an hour in and I have played in three huge pots and am down alot.
funny thing is, I'm trying to play conservative:
Aces - lost
Aces - won
AJ - won little pot
Tens - flopped a set when he flopped a straight
Four hands I played the first hour...
