End of round one

What a rollercoaster! I went into round one thinking I wouldn't play any hands and played in three monsters! Losing two, ugh. I'm still smarting about giving an extra five thousand to that one kid because I had to see it.

Anyway, played a couple more hands - raised with a9 on the button to take some blinds, and called a raise with kq to hit a king on the flop, raise his bet, and take down a couple thousand.

$24K at the first break, down 20 percent from where I started. Interestingly enough, about where I was last year... When I also started in amazon orange.

So I left one hand early on the last level because its colder in here than last year and all I had was shorts, sandals, and my old faithful maggie obriens tshirt. Anyway, I sprinted across the parking lot, put in jeans I had in the car, grabbed a sweatshirt, and ran back.

Yes, ran back across a convention center parking lot at 2pm in 107 degree heat.... Wearing jeans. I am now an official mess - on tilt from poker and sweating everywhere. This "dry heat" stuff is a load of crap, its just hot.

My big blind for the start of round two...
